Frequently Asked Questions

All the details you need to know.

If it’s information about how our journey together will work, you can take a look here. Or if you would like to understand more about your investment, you can find pricing details on my Services page.

Where are you based?

I am based in the beautiful town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in the leafy suburbs of Kent. I typically plan weddings across the South East of England, including Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Berkshire. However, I absolutely love to travel to new places, so if you are getting married further afield, then feel free to get in touch.

Do you only plan multicultural weddings?

Multicultural weddings is where my expertise lies and is what I am truly passionate about. Blending two unique cultures to form one joyful union is what I love and adore. And I am in my planning element when I am creating schedules and itineraries of multiple events, which multicultural weddings often embrace. However, I do also plan non-multicultural weddings.

Do you plan destination weddings?

My passion is planning weddings here in the UK. I do however, work with couples who are based overseas, and are looking to hold their wedding here in the UK.

Why do I need a wedding planner?

Planning  a wedding can take over 250 hours and my clients are often very busy professionals who want to enjoy their engagement and the lead up to their wedding as much as the day itself.  I am here to alleviate that pressure of trying to fit in your wedding planning alongside your already hectic schedules and to make the experience relaxing, enjoyable and stress-free.

How many weddings do you take on each year?

I am truly committed to each of my couples and so to really give my dedicated support, I only take on a very small number of full plan clients per year. If you’re thinking about working with me, then I would recommend getting in touch as soon as possible.

Will you be there on the day itself coordinating our wedding?

If you have booked my full planning service, I will most definitely be there on your wedding, coordinating your day from start to finish. However, if it is on-the-day coordination you have booked, there is a possibility that one of my trusted industry colleagues will be there supporting you in my place, although this is rare. They will of course have been fully briefed on all details for your wedding day and will have met you both in the 4 weeks prior to your special day.

Do you have a recommended supplier list?

I work alongside some exceptionally talented wedding suppliers, and without their dedication, support and hard work, I wouldn’t be able execute the meticulous plans I have put in place. I recommend suppliers based on each individual client need and who I think will bring your vision to life with the utmost care and respect for your cultures. Therefore, as each wedding is so different, I don’t have a recommended list as such. I also love forming connections with new suppliers, so I am always keen to hear if you have a preferred supplier you’d love to go with.

Are there any other costs I should know about?

After we have had our initial consultation, I will draw up your bespoke proposal which will outline your total investment. This will include information around any additional fees that might be necessary to cover travel and accommodation. Generally, any weddings that take place within 90 minutes’ drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells won’t incur any additional travel or accommodation costs. However, it will completely depend on the complexity of the wedding events and the number of days I will be required to be on site for the setup and pack down. But, I will always be completely transparent and make you aware of exactly what is and isn’t included in your quote, prior to you booking me.

Are we able to meet remotely instead of in person?

Yes, most definitely. I am very used to working with busy professionals and entrepreneurs who value their time, and we will quite often meet virtually for any planning calls. Of course, it would be great to meet in person too and I always recommend at least one site visit at your wedding venue to walk and talk through your plans in more detail. But after that, we can arrange our meetings via Zoom and Microsoft Teams – whatever works best for you. And if you’re based locally to me, we can of course meet in person over a coffee if you would prefer.

Evenings and weekends work best for us – does this work with your schedule?

Absolutely! Most of my client calls take place in the evenings and weekends. You will have access to my calendar where I will have availability across the week, including some late evenings and weekends. I will give you the flexibility to book in a call at whatever time is most convenient for you.

How do I book?

I want to make the booking process as easy and efficient as possible, so if you’re happy that I’m the right wedding planner for you then head on over to my contact page and fill in the form, which will land straight into my inbox. I will then be in touch within 24 hours with a link to my calendar so you can book in your complimentary initial consultation.

What are your payment terms?

My payment terms will vary slightly depending on the length of time I have to plan your wedding. But you can expect to pay an initial fee of 40% in order to secure your date in my diary. A second instalment of 40% will then be due roughly halfway through the planning, with the remaining balance of 20% due 4 weeks prior to your wedding day.

Is my deposit non-refundable?

As you can appreciate, once I have booked your wedding date in my diary I will more than likely have to turn away other potential business, therefore, a percentage of my fee will be non-refundable once I have started planning your wedding.

Are you insured?

Yes I am fully insured with public liability insurance.
